Sensory Sundays

Sensory Sundays provide increased accessibility for those with sensory sensitivities to enjoy the museum without large crowds or extra stimuli. Our planetarium and Science Theater will be open and provide opportunities to experience public programs tailored for Sensory Sundays. Support backpacks are also available at our Admissions desk, for Sensory Sundays or on any other day the museum is open to the public.

Sloth Encounter
June 21 | 12:00pm
$5 per person
Join us for our next Sloth Encounter and meet our very own Patience the Sloth! Hosted in the planetarium, on the first floor, our zookeepers will bring you an exclusive glimpse of Patience outside of her enclosure. Don’t miss this chance to learn more about these incredible creatures and ask our zookeepers all of your burning questions!

Outdoor Adventures: Nature Journals
June 22nd | 1:00pm & 3:00pm
Outdoor Adventure: Nature Journals will encourage guests to explore the Werthner Woods trail and/or Coovert Pond.
Program tickets are $5 per participant, with a limit 15 participants per program. Registration is available online or at the front desk.
This program will last roughly 30-45 minutes.
