Sensory Sundays

Sensory Sundays provide increased accessibility for those with sensory sensitivities to enjoy the museum without large crowds or extra stimuli. Our planetarium and Science Theater will be open and provide opportunities to experience public programs tailored for Sensory Sundays. Support backpacks are also available at our Admissions desk, for Sensory Sundays or on any other day the museum is open to the public.

Pollinator Day is a museum wide family friendly event that supports the mission of the museum by promoting knowledge and conservation of pollinator species.
Themed programming will run from 10 A.M. – 4 P.M.
Scientist Lab
Every Weekend
This hands-on program is for explorers ages 5 and up who want to dig deeper and uncover the “why” behind the world around them. Explore rotating science themes, from studying amazing live animals to engineering creative solutions or diving into chemistry and physics. Kids will test, tinker, observe, build, and investigate just like real scientists, then leave inspired to keep exploring long after they go home.
